We can take you from your rough draft on paper to finished, professional quality books in your hands within a few weeks or months, or assist you at any point in that process (only what you need); and for less money than many collaborative publishers now advertise.
We know there are a lot of online vanity publishers available through the internet today...but they can be a challenge. First of all, they are very impersonal and you can rarely get a live person even in email, let alone on the phone, or dare we say it, in person face-to-face! Then you have to be a technical expert to upload your book to their system for printing, as well as a premier graphic designer to do all your own layout and spec preparations. Add to that the fact that you have to know about ISBN codes and Library of Congress registration procedures to get the book properly identified for the national and international book markets. Tack onto that the need to then know all about book marketing in order to list, advertise and sell your book through various outlets such as Amazon.com, Kindle, iPad, and other online sources, and your book becomes a full time job. Author's Book Orders: Call for Quote
On demand book printing of your title. You tell us how many books you want, and we'll have them delivered to your door at only $1.00 over cost per book, plus shipping and handling.
Cost per book will be determined by size of book, number of pages, hardback or paperback binding, color or black and white interior, paper choices for interior, number of books ordered, and turnaround time requested. A quote will be provided when this information has been determined. Price per book varies based on quantities purchased.
Copy Editing: Basic: $250
This steps us up from "making your book look pretty" to "assisting with grammatical, style and spelling accuracy." This entails one of our editors doing a read-through for spelling and grammar. If you do not purchase this part of the package, we simply lay out the file exactly as you give it to us--we will not change the content at all. It is a well known dynamic that no one should edit their own work. You can have technical editing done by our editors, checking spelling, grammar and punctuation. Dot your i's and cross your t's!
Copy Editing: Comprehensive $500
At this level of involvement we actually make suggestions to improve the flow of the book, look for inaccuracies throughout the manuscript (such as calling your main character "Stan" in the first five chapters and "Sam" thereafter), check for plot consistency and make storyline suggestions. Within approximately 30 days from submission, you'll get your recommendations and notes, with copywriter edits and suggestions for changes. (NOTE: This level also incorporates Basic Editing as part of the package.)
Copy Writing: Call for Quote
Silverbear Graphics can provide experienced, excellent ghost writers to actually help you write your story, using your notes/CDs or word file to create a finished manuscript, crediting the client as the author.
Custom Cover Design: $200
This is the design of the cover. Our skilled designers will work with you to create just the right look for your book cover (one original design based on your concept that you share with the artist, with up to 2 revisions.) From choosing fonts, to color, to artwork--rely on 25+ years of experience in branding, logo design and media communication to help your readers get the right first impression.

Use a tip shared recently by Dr. Wayne Dyer on his PBS Special, "Excuses Be Gone" - have your COVER DESIGNED FIRST, get it printed out at a local color copy shop, cut it to fit a book already on your bookshelf, and wrap that book in your new cover art! Cover Print Prep: $100
This is the cover layout.
If you have ever tried to self-publish a book, you know the demands for
cover specifications are very exacting. We understand picas, pixels and
placement; meaning your cover will upload flawlessly and reproduce with
professional quality.
ISBN and Library of Congress Registration: $100
This means we will create an EAN-13 Bar Code so your book can be sold
on Amazon and in retail bookstores by registering your book with the industry-recognized international book registration agency (with Silverbear as your Publisher of Record*), and also register and install a copy of your book in the United States Library of Congress. *If we are
your Publisher of Record, determined by the purchase of the ISBN code, we have a
required Publishing Contract we will forward to you for your
review and signature.
Marketing Packages: $100 and up
This ranges from obtaining a review for your book that will be posted on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, to securing multiple reviews and submitting them to thousands of websites. Contact us for more details.
Print
Preparation Package: $500
This is the layout and design of your digital manuscript as final artwork, ready to go to the printer. We will layout your provided digital text in book format as a high resolution PDF file. Includes up to 10 B&W artwork,
photos or drawings (provided by you) scanned and digitally inserted. (Original art or photograph size not to exceed 8.5 x 11 inches.)
Promotion Package: $200
Printed marketing materials. Getting the word out about your book is the key to getting it sold. We
have a marketing package which includes your own branded, full color
business cards; postcards; bookmarks and press release. Buying this
package saves you over the cost of buying them separately.
Setting up Amazon and Other Online Outlets for Your Book: $100
Your file must be prepped in a particular way to be "camera-ready" for the various online outlets. We manage sales for many of our authors and are glad to add you to our publishing family.
Setting
up Kindle, iPad, Nook and Other eBook Formats for Your Book: $100
Your file must be prepped in a particular way to be Kindle, iPad and Nook friendly.
Silverbear
Bookstore and Detailed Monthly Sales Reports: $25/month
We will host your book on our Silverbear online bookstore (both
in our regular bookstore and your own author's page, which will have a
distinct URL to which you can direct your customers), and email you
a detailed monthly report of sales from all online sources we manage for
you.
It's a must these days to get your book out there on various social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and more.) Don't want to think about having to manage all that? Let us do it for you!
Website for Your Book: $500 and up
A web site is also a must for marketing anything these days, especially the written word. We'll develop a web presence for you, depending on what you want--from a simple billboard site to your own online storefront.
